Summary: In June 2009 the 90th anniversary of the creation of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers, which was greatly contributed by Lviv electricians, constituted the second largest after Warsaw or in the 1930s – after the Coal Basin section – the grouping of Polish electricians in the first forty years of the 20th century. This paper – Part I – is an attempt to present the achievements of Lviv electricians gathered in subsequent years in the Electrotechnical Section of the Polish Polytechnic Society and in the Lviv Club of the Polish Electrical Engineering Association.
