In the 100th anniversary of Antoni Marian Plamitzer's birth (1916-2001)

Summary: This article presents an outstanding silhouette of a university teacher, an educator of many generations of electricians – professor Anthony Plamitzer . His scientific work began at the Technical University of Lvov. Then, after World War II he worked at the Silesian University of Technology. In the 60s he settled down in Opole, where he was the organizer and first Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Technical University of Opole. His most important work is the academic handbook "Electric machines", which was published in an edition of 55 thousand copies and was the primary textbook for generations of graduates of technical schools.
